When the DLC’s point of contact is on vacation or otherwise absent, the Workload Balancing Software will assign new proposals to other RAS Approvers.
If a proposal has already been assigned to an RAS Approver who may be absent before the proposal is approved, RAS will transfer responsibility for that proposal to a second RAS Approver and changes will be communicated to the department and the PI by email. Thereafter, all communications relating to that proposal will be between the DLC and the second RAS Approver. (The initial RAS Approver need not be copied.)
