Export Controls in Research Training: Nov. 17, 2026, 10 a.m.

The research community is invited to join us for an optional export control training workshop to learn more about export controls, avoiding pitfalls in international collaborations, and other topics relevant to the MIT research community and the broader geopolitical climate in which we conduct research.

This is invaluable training for anyone currently working in, or considering a career in, a technical field. Having awareness of export control regulations and licensing requirements early on can avoid significant delays to scientific research and engineering research, collaborations, and projects.

Join us on Tuesday, November 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. in 9-255. This workshop is presented by Janet Johnston, Senior Export Control Officer, Kate Donovan, Export Control Officer, and Lisa Cavallaro, Research Security and Compliance Administrator. It is open to research administrators, PIs, graduate students, postdocs, lab personnel, and others involved in MIT research. No registration required.
