September 25th is National Research Administrator Day — a day to celebrate the vital contributions made by research administrators to the university research enterprise.
First celebrated in 2015 by the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), this day is dedicated to recognizing and thanking the people who skillfully navigate the complex and wide-ranging tasks involved in securing and managing sponsored funds, while navigating an extraordinarily complex policy environment.
"The expertise of our administrators boosts MIT’s competitiveness, protects the integrity of our research, and allows researchers to focus more of their attention on their scientific work.
Thanks to MIT's professional, highly skilled research administrators, the important work of advancing scholarship, discovery, and innovation across the spectrum of science, technology, and human experience continues to improve lives all around the world."
— Anne E. White, Associate Vice President for Research Administration
At MIT, research administration spans the lifecycle of “idea to impact” and involves the work of teams in the central administration and in the DLCIs. Whether you are a research administrator or a principal investigator, we encourage you to learn more about the teams that support research at MIT.
