2025-26 Research Administration Services (RAS) Winter Break Deadlines

RAS due dates will be modified for proposal and award submissions with sponsor due dates from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through January 9, 2026. In line with the MIT winter break:

• Waivers cannot be accepted for proposals due to sponsors between December 23, 2025, and January 7, 2026.
   
• By Friday, December 12, MIT RAS must receive all fully negotiated agreements that need to be signed or invoiced for year end. 

Please notify your RAS CA of any proposal or award submissions impacted by this winter break schedule as soon as possible.

Revised Proposal Deadlines

Complete and final proposals must be submitted to RAS by 9AM five full business days before the sponsor deadline date. The sponsor due date is not part of the RAS review period calculation. Use the RAS Due Date Calculator to confirm the date proposals are due to RAS during the months of December and January to avoid missing proposal submission deadlines.

All times listed in the tables below are Eastern Standard Time.

Proposals due to sponsors between December 23, 2025, and January 7, 2026, are not waiver eligible. Proposals without a waiver will not be submitted.
