Starting in the spring 2025 term, research assistant (RA) tuition is no longer calculated on a daily basis. Tuition will post monthly throughout the term, following the registrar's proration schedule, rather than as a lump sum at the beginning of the term.
Unlike previous terms, RA tuition is no longer included in DACCA postings and will instead post directly to the DTR for each cost object. The name of each RA will also post in the description.

Partial-Term Appointments and Tuition Adjustments
For assistance calculating partial-term appointments, use either the online tool or Excel calculator [XLSX].
- Early thesis: GAP pro-rates the calculation assuming the assessed tuition for the full term. In cases where a student ends due to early thesis, reach out to OGE to manually update the tuition amount.
- Adjustments: Adjustments to tuition postings will follow a change in eSDS. The Excel calculator can be used to calculate the original appointment and again for the new appointment to confirm the credit/debit is correct.
- Calculator troubleshooting: When using the Excel calculator, put the full amount of tuition in cell H1, not just the 45% amount charged to sponsored projects.
